Biography
After being born in Montevideo, Uruguay and graduating from San Francisco de Asis College, I became an Aerobics instructor at 18. Years later, I found my passion for modeling and acting but had to postpone my career due to becoming a mother of two wonderful boys. In the discovery of wanting better opportunities for my sons and myself, I decided to move to the United States to achieve the American dream when my sons were one and four years old.
While being a housewife for several years and not knowing any English, I decided to go back to school to learn English so I could continue with my career. In the process, I started a business selling international calling cards to fund our next step in life. I then found two modeling agencies, UpTown Talent and Hutson Talent Agency to represent my sons and I. The agencies gave us the courage to pursue the dream of modeling and acting. We did projects as a family on TV shows such as FBI Files, Happily Ever After, Monsters and Mysteries of America and commercials for JCPenney, Disney Magic Show, and print campaigns.
Choosing to never give up, I mentally prepared myself for the rejections until I found my first “yes.” After being in the industry for the past eight years, I needed to find a project for the Spanish community. My search led me to COX Communication meeting my actual producer Will Rodriguez, together we created the first Latino show in Virginia “A Las 11 Por El 11” in Cox communication, which I had the opportunity to produce and host our TV show.
Lately, I started producing commercials for my TV shows and others at Cox, as well. I had the opportunity to work with nationally recognized people from the TV and movie industry as well as interacting with music artists, politicians, and sports athletes. As a Latina woman, I can say that everything is possible by following your dreams, being happy while enjoying the challenges that life may bring and never giving up!
